Redemptive Cycles partners with UAB

Redemptive Cycles is a non-profit bicycle shop located at 1305 2nd Ave N, about a mile from UAB’s campus. We specialize in used bike sales as well as bike repairs; in addition to our used bikes we also carry single speed/fixed gear bikes from State Bicycle Co., and will now be offering Origin8’s line of urban bikes.

Redemptive Cycles seeks to ease access to cycling through our Earn-a-Bike program, low cost repairs, and our free to the public monthly mechanics classes. We also have a public work station, open whenever we are, with all the necessary tools where you can work on your bike for free.

In addition to our sales and services we host a weekly group ride each Thursday night. We meet in the back alley of the shop at 6, leave at 6:30, and ride about 10 miles over roughly 2 hours. This is a social ride open to all skill levels, and a good introduction to city riding for the inexperienced.

And Redemptive Cycles now accepts BlazerBucks and offers a 10% discount to all students. We are also currently accepting applicants for three internships: one for accounting, mechanics, and marketing, to last through the end of the semester.
